Sand Point, Little Tupper Lake Print

This historic print is a colorized version of a 19th-century wood engraving (1872) of Sand Point on Little Tupper Lake, located in the Adirondack Mountains in the 14,700 acre William C. Whitney Wilderness Area between Tupper Lake and Long Lake in Hamilton County, New York. Today, Little Tupper Lake has 24 primitive campsites and, although motor boats are prohibited, visitors enjoy numerous recreational activities such as canoeing, kayaking, guide boating, hiking, camping, watching wildlife, hunting, trapping, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding, all within a setting of quiet and peaceful solitude.
